The two years, 2017 and 2018, has seen a mass movement of journalists and celebs moving to National and County governments in search of plum jobs. Surprisingly counties and national government have come to pouch the talent from news rooms and celebrity arena. It sounded like a perfect match when the deal was signed.
For journalists, most of them have been employed in the sector of communication, where they have been given a top managerial role to head the department. Perhaps to provide the link between the county and media, who intern tell the local people what has been happening.

2.Allan Wanga

10.Kennedy Muriithi
He will leave NTV to head a communication department at Meru County. Kenny was in the news when he was asked to identify himself using his second name by NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka. Kalonzo then responded by telling him that his name had betrayed him.
11.Joy Doreen Biira
Long serving KTN anchor Joy Doreen Biira left KTN for a lucrative government job after she successfully applied and qualified for a slot at the Ministry of mining.
Still a communication expert, she has promised to help the youth and participate in their uplifting across the society.
Biira noted that she saw the job advert, applied and went on with the interview like other applicants, she was later informed that she had done well and emerged the best candidate

12.Kanze Dena
Citizen TV bird anchor Kanze Dena is on her way to the top position of a deputy head of President’s Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU).
Kanze Dena appointment will be one of the major reshuffling of the State House communications department as the President gets his second term with four agenda mantra rolling.
In the same breathe, Munira Mohamed would move straight to be presidential library boss and deputy head.
Among other well defined roles, Kanze Dena would be Deputy State House Spokesperson which will include digital, messaging, research, branding and press.
