Former Citizen TV anchor Kanze Dena and current Statehouse spokesperson and Head of President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU), got married on 2/03/2019.
The mother of one son, got married to an IT guru Nick Mararo at a heavily secluded area ( Ol Pejeta Conservancy ) in Laikipia County
The exotic venue of Sweet Waters Serena was overlooking mount Kenya and date was so private that it even got her close friends and other family members out of their eyes.
Phones were also not allowed in the highly guarded venue.
Among the invites-only, was her close friend and former co-anchor Lulu Hassan.
Kanze Dena choose a cream loose gown, which she used to walk down the aisle before exchanging vows with Nick Mararo at around 1 pm. Her new hubby choose a grey suit for the occasion
The theme of the event was white punctuated with touches of gold, the walkway was all glowing in white.
The bridesmaids were in blue; carrying bouquets of white roses while
best man and groomsmen dressed in grey suits and blue waistcoats.
The security men were dressed in black suits to ensure no phones were at the event. They were so strict and roughed up phones of even close family members.
Attendants had to get out of the event to take selfies
“She gave instructions that nobody should come with a phone. We had to get out of the venue to take selfies. She said she did not want a fuss,” said a source
Workers at Ol Pejeta were kept off the radar until the material day, they were only told that President Uhuru Kenyatta will attend the event but names of lovers kept in no tones.
At the event, only her camera persons were allowed to take pictures and immortalise their moment of love.
Parking lot was filled with speed-machines believed to have ferried high ranking government officials and dignitaries.

The two lovebirds are said to have jetted in from outside the country and kept at a high end facility before the wedding day.
“Some of the guests flew in on Saturday morning, but I’m not sure if there were any senior state officials,” said another source
Dena once shared how she battled with early pregnancy and contemplated on adoption of the baby after high school. The baby would later die.
She moved into another relationship and got a son, and she revealed that they are co-parenting despite separating years ago with baby daddy.
