If you thought that some of the celebrities with all their fame, glory, money and success: they have never been arrested, then you are wrong.
Infact most of them have brushed the laws on the wrong side leading to their arrests and case files opening.
Some were jailed while other were let free after paying fines, bribes or getting innocent.
We take you through some of the celebs who found themselves in police cells.
1.Babu Owino
Babu Owino should be nicknamed the father of police cells.
Just in 2017 and 2018 alone, he was arrested and taken to police cells more than three times,
He was accused of several issues such as deafening the presidency, spreading hate-speech and abuse of his of his school fellow and competitor during university elections
2.Timmy TDat
The rapper was arrested in Nairobi and taken to Parkland Police Station where police booked him of a traffic offense, resisting arrest and trying to run away from police.
After several hours in the cell, Timmy was released and charges dropped
3.Esther Arunga and Quincy Timberlake
The two couples were arrested after their son died mysteriously as a result of marriage wrangles.
Arunga was arrested as a key suspect. She later testified in the court against her bae accusing him of killing their son who fell from their house balcony
4.Kennedy Okwako
The Kenyan musician and MC based in Würzburg was imprisoned on grounds of having sex with 8 women among them a 13 year old girl.
The court found Kennedy guilty of knowingly having unprotected sex with these women while he knew he was HIV positive.
He later testified that he was infected by his German lover even though he was not on a vegence mission
5.Roba
Kenyan rapper was put behind for allegedly stealing a car side mirror.
6.Stephen Okoth
The Naswa artist was accused of stealing a camera kit from the Wide Concept Media.
According to the chrages filed against him, he stole stole a camera Canon 5D Mark Two and 24 to 105 lens all valued at Sh390,000.
The accused is said to have stolen the kit from their offices located in Nairobi’s State House road.
7.Mike Sonko
He was arrested after skipping court sessions. The today’s Nairobi governor Mike Sonko had to spent several cold nights at Shimo La Tewa In Mombasa as he has since confessed.
He had earlier been charged on several accounts of heinous crime including drug smuggling.
8.Daddy Owen
He always puts on big black shades to hide a big scare on one of his eyes. A scar he got from a mob justice in Nairobi when he had tried to snatch a valuable from a resident.
Papa Fololo, the MTV award-winning artiste and top-selling gospel star was then in 2001 a petty thief in Nairobi’s CBD and Umoja estate.
After the mob justice, he was admitted into the hospital where he began his treatment and rehabilitation process.
9.Nelson Ominde
He was accused of conning fellow artiste on grounds of shooting him a video.
He was arrested and spent cold nights at Jogoo Road Police Station in Nairobi.
10.Johnny Vigetti
Even though he has been a success man in the field of hip hop and rapping, he never escaped police when it came to dug addiction.
He was arrested on many grounds with charges of drug abuse.
11.King Kafu
King Kafu who is a radio host at Ghetto radio spent one year at Industrial area prison after he was charged with stealing a mobile phone at Luthuli Avenue in Nairobi.
Kafu and his fellows tricked a phone vendor with a note of sh.1000 for an airtime sh.50 stating . The attendant was forced to go for loose money but returned too soon and found Kafu in the act.
He was beaten and later handed to police
12.Rio D
He was arrested after he posed on Facebook holding a gun.
RIO later disclosed that the AK-47 belonged to a police officer.
13.SHAVEY
He was arrested in Kayole after he was accused of breaking into a property and stealing unknown valuables.
He was later cleared and released.
14.Bamzigi
Mombasa based singer was arrested after being suspected of being a drug peddler. Later he was released after police established that he was merely spreading injection syringes for drug addicts so as to avoid spread of HIV
15.Moses Kuria
The Gatundu North MP was arrested on several accounts over his hate-speech tounge which seemed loose whenever he talked about Kenyans from Nyanza region.
Together with other famous Pangani 7, he spent several days in police cells
16.Hart The Band
They were arrested at Koroga festival which had been attended by Tanzania star Diamond.
The band was arrested after a police car chase.
It was not clear why the group was arrested
17.Cashy
Former Khaligraphy Jones fiancee was arrested in a rat trap after police had stormed their premises and arrested all the occupants.
She was later released after greasing their hands
18. Guardian Angel
Gospel artist who was a street boy has always confessed that his life on streets was pnctuated by several police arrests and nights in police cells
19.Propesa Comedian, Larry Matayo
The comedian was arrested after he was accused of being caught with election materials. He was frog matched to Nyayo police station
