The famous gospel artiste Emmy Kosgei, popular for her hits such as Taunet Nelel is best known for her music which she sings in her vernacular language, (Kalenjin) and is able to bring out that African side through her dressing that many celebrities this days do not. 1.She was born in 1980 and was brought up in the village in Baringo County and is the second born in a family of 4 children.

6.Emmy’s value for education is seen through her ownership of Hope academy which has around 72 students. And instead of wasting her money buying flashy cars, she has sponsored 37 of the students.
7.She is the Kenya’s National and Global Tourism and culture ambassador and was chosen due to her exemplary way of conserving our tradition.
