Jeff Koinange is a Kenyan journalist, a host of a talk show in KTN called Jeff Koinange Live. He is a media graduate of Kingsborough Community College in New York and New York University. Before joining KTN he was hosting Capital Talk Show at K24.

10. He is an experienced journalist who have served in various international media. Some of these media houses includes the Reuters Television, NBC News where he worked as a producer, ABC News in United States, Arise Television Limited in South Africa and CNN International.
9. He is the author of the book ‘Through my African Eyes. This is an informative book about African politics, colonialism,tyranny leadership and historical events that have shaped Africa today. He also reveals how politics and biased reporting can be used to divide the society.
8. He is the first African to win a Television Emmy Award and George Foster Peabody. He has also won prestigious awards such as Vernon Jarrett Award and Prix Bayeux for his impartial reporting that has arrested global crises.
7. Jeff is married to Sheila Koinange. They are blessed with one son Jamal Mbiyu Koinange. Sheila is a Kenyan of Asian origin. They married in 1998.
6. He is a grandson of Chief Mbiyu Koinange. His father having been Fredrick Mbiyu Koinange. Chief Koinange was a popular businessman in Nairobi.
5. In 2007, he was accused by a Swiss national Marianne Briner of having an affair with her. The claims he refuted and explained that the lady just wanted to blackmail his profession. It’s speculated that such scandals facilitated his departure from CNN.
4. His first wife was a Panamanian called Sonya. She was a flight instructor. They married in 1998 and divorced in 1994. He later married his current wife in 1998. He admits that Sonya is still special in his life.
3. He loves Cuban cigar. He admits that he smokes the thick Cuban cigar number 4, which is thicker than number 1, twice a day. In the morning and in the evening.
2. Jeff wanted to be an agricultural economist when he was in high school. He had no intention of being a journalist. His inspiration to be a journalist came during his service as a flight assistant. He was always being applauded of good voice for media by those on board whenever he made an announcement.
