Forbes is at it again, this time they bring us The World’s Highest-Paid Musicians of 2012.
Dr. Dre is this year’s top-earning musician—thanks largely to his Beats headphone line. The rapper raked in $110 million in total before taxes between May 2011 and May 2012.
Roger Waters is at number two earning $88 million. He is a founding member of Pink Floyd, he continues to rake in cash from his The Wall Live tour, in which he plays the aforementioned album straight through.
At no.3 spot is Elton John still going strong raking in $80 million. His animated film Gnomeo and Juliet brought in $200 million at the box office.
U2 is at no.4 boasting $78 million, thanks to their record-breaking 360 tour—which grossed $736 million over three year—in August of 2011.
Bon Jovi is at no. 6 earning $60 million, Pop diva Britney Spears takes the seventh spot earning $58 million thanks to millions from endorsements and a fragrance line with Elizabeth Arden.
At no.8 and 9 it’s a tie between country singer Taylor swift and rock star Paul McCartney both earning $57 million. While another tie in the no.10 and 11 spot is between Justin Bieber and musician Toby Keith both earning $55 million.
