Launch of the call for applications for the 2023 French-African Foundation Young Leaders program on the theme: “Unleash the energy!”

Full of energy, committed and determined, the youth in Africa and France have often contributed to major progress in promoting rights and freedom and new economic and political models.

It is with this conviction that the French-African Foundation launched its Young Leaders program in 2019 to promote Franco-African dialogue by supporting and bringing together generations of talented and committed young people.
In 2023, the third edition of the program will have as its theme «Unleash energies». A resolutely positive and forward-looking theme, to build a common future together. As for each edition, an African country will be honored. This year it is Rwanda.

From 16 February to 17 March, 2023, the French-African Foundation is calling young people who are helping to unleash the creative energies of their countries to join its Young Leaders program by applying for this unique initiative!
Commit yourself: come and share your conviction and positive energy. Make the Franco-African bond live by contributing to your peers as to learn from them.
If you are ready to participate and deploy your energy, you are probably one of our future “Young Leaders”.

Young executives, business leaders, entrepreneurs, community and civil society activists, politicians and diplomats, athletes and artists, writers, journalists… all talents are called upon to become Young Leaders!

If you are between 28 and 40 years old and of French nationality or from an African country, our Young Leaders program is for you.

The Young Leaders Program in figures - PNGWe will select the most promising profiles who have proven their positive leadership, their professional qualities and who have a vision of the future of the Africa-France relationship. Fluency in English is required, French is appreciated but not mandatory.

Our 30 Young Leaders will have the opportunity to follow a high-level training program designed to sharpen their decision-making skills, build an unparalleled Franco-African network, improve their skills and open up to other horizons. They will participate in various workshops, visits and conferences. They will meet inspiring Franco-African and international personalities from the economic, political, associative, cultural and sporting spheres…

Placed under the high patronage of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron and the President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame, the new class of Young Leaders will participate in a session in France in June 2023 and a session in Rwanda in fall 2023.

The call for applications will be open from 16 February and will last until 17 March. A high-level jury will oversee the selection of the winners. The results will be announced in May 2023.
