Is masturbation wrong? That is a question that many people have asked themselves.
Masturbation is a serious sin against one’s own body and before God. God made sex for man and woman for procreation and for stirring up love between a male/female bonded in marriage.
Masturbation is a form of sexual perversion which has serious consequences from God. People who masturbate always do it with an image of a woman or man in mind.
What the Bible says about masturbation
The holy scriptures say:
“But I say unto you, that everyone who looks upon a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart,” Mathew 5:2.
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God,” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
“For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,” Romans 1:26-28.
“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committed fornication sinneth against his own body,” 1 Corinthians 6:18.
What science says
Science so far shows that:
1. Masturbation is addictive, leaves one feeling tired, exhausted, guilty, less concentrative and with low self confidence.
2. Masturbation also makes the penis to get weak when being used in the body of a woman. It also makes the organ to develop too many veins thereby making it unattractive.
3. Masturbation weakens the hormone responsible in producing sperm.
4. Masturbation makes a man moan, suffer and starve for real sex during the period of masturbating.
5. It reduces the period of ejaculation in men and is a major cause of premature ejaculation.
6. Masturbation weakens the womb in females thereby not enabling the womb to carry a child which leads to abortion (miscarriages most of the time).
7. It sometimes causes infertility and other infections like cancer in women.
8. Masturbation can make a woman lose her virginity.
9. It can cause sperm disability which leads to abnormal children (in fewer cases).
With these points, I take it that masturbation causes harm to a human body and that the harm outweighs the alleged benefits of it. So, masturbation is avoidable and should be avoided at all costs.
