In the best way: avoid all possible errors, especially when we send it via mail! In this note we will show you the correct and professional way to send your resume by mail.

For your CV to have a good reception, follow these 4 tips

 1 Subject:

In the subject of the mail you cannot miss that you write: “Curriculum vitae – your profession- your name and surname”.

This way employers will know what they will find. In turn, it will be easier for them to search for the email if they want to call you. So for example we would put: “Curriculum vitae – Public Accountant – John Juma”.

2 Body of the message

In the body of the message, we suggest you write a brief presentation (no more than 5 lines). You can use your professional summary. You cannot miss your name, age and profession (or studies).

3 Motivation

Write why you want to work in that company, it is imperative that you do a prior investigation to know what the company is doing.

4 Signature

A signature at the end of the mail always denotes professionalism and seriousness. This should obviously include your name, your profession and specialty or area (if applicable). If you consider it relevant, you can add your email and / or contact number.

Common mistakes when sending an email by mail

1 Inadequate email address

It is very important that you have a professional email to look for work. If you do not have one, it would be a good idea to believe it and use it only for professional use.

2 Massive CV shipments

Be sure to send your CV only to the person who corresponds, for example, to the person in charge of the section, and not to all the workers of the company. Go to the person with first and last name and take some time to write the emails individually.

3 Format of the file you send

The curriculum file should be in PDF format, this is not manipulation of the information. It is also a professional format, and surely whoever receives it can open it without any Windows version problem.

4 Day and time of shipment

Although it seems to be a lie, there are studies that indicate that the days in which the mails are revised are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Then, make sure to send your mails some other day. In turn, at noon is when more mails are opened in companies, therefore this would be the best time to send it.
