Nairobi, shamba la mawe is Kenya’s capital, named by the Maasai’s for the cool, refreshing waters they found but sadly, that all changed and Nairobi is now a financial desert and few of it’s residents can find economic oases that allows them to prosper. Most are resigned to fates worse than death – poverty.
So how do you claw your way out of this abyss? For most, they make peace with their horrendous situations. Religion helps as it offers most a brighter future to look forward to – paradise.
But for the less scrupulous, crime offers a way out. And the youth are attracted to it by the droves.
That often means that law abiding citizens are left to either seek help from the police who nary are helpful or fending for ourselves.
And true to form, life isn’t fair. So there are some estates that are worse than others when it comes to crime. That is why when you ask your friend to drive to your house to see you, they flat-out refuse.
I was recently browsing the police website and came across a rather interesting post – one that highlighted crime-prone areas. So I decided to share with you the places where crimes such as rape and murder are rampant. Some of the areas are no brainers, but some are actually quite a shock.
Here are the estates
#1. City Cotton between Wilson Airport and South C. Murder
#2. Near Oilibya Petrol Station in Mathare Slum area. Murder.
#3. Congo area near Kawangware. Rape
#4. Kona Mbaya in Ruai. Rape
#5. Sewage area along Maji Mazuri road, Ruai. Murder and rape.
