Former Thika United player Dennis Lewa was among the unfortunate victims who failed to survive when the horrific bus accident occurred in Kericho this week
The 72 year old driver, could not manage the bus after its breaks failed, veered off the road and hit the rails before descending off on a steep slope of about 20 metres
Dennis was among the 56 who were confirmed dead. Below are some facts about the player
- Dennis was travelling to Kakamega to make a switch to Kakamega Homeboyz. He was expected to become a player under their shirt.
- Dennis Lewa who played for Thika United rose to the rank of a captain, a position he did well and showed his great leadership skills
- KPL confirmed his demise on 11th October 2018
- He also had been featured as a player for Kenya’s Harambee Stars
- While at Thika United, he majorly featured in as a defender
