Today, the removal of Charles Keter switched the number of MPs who have been removed from office few months after the 2017 August general elections.
MP Keter was removed by his challenger Benard Kibor Kitur in their Nandi Hills constituency elections .
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission declared Mr Keter the winner of the election with 28,923 votes against Mr Kitur’s 13,872.
The High Court in Eldoret found that the election was punctuated with malpractices and irregularities.
Other four who have been removed are listed below
- Chris Karani of Ugenya,
- Markawet East MP Kangogo Bowen,
- Gatundu North MP Wanjiku Kibe and
- Lamu West’s Stanley Muthama
