The world of film industry is mourning the death of Chadwick Boseman, who succumbed to cancer after battling it for three years .

His latest post on Facebook, came when Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden choose Kamala Harris as his deputy president.

Boseman was born and raised in USA’s South Carolina.

10 Interesting Facts You Didn’t Know About Chadwick Boseman

  1. He was born 43 years ago as Chadwick Aaron Boseman on November 29, 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina, U.S. and died on August 28, 2020 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.
  2. He was an actor and a producer for 17 years between 2003 and 2020 before he succumbed to colon cancer.
  3. He was married to Taylor Simone Ledward in 2019. His details about kids and marriage life is not much in the public arena.
  4.  His popular movies include roles in the Black Panther (2018), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019), 21 Bridges (2019) and Da 5 Bloods (2020).
  5. According to Boseman, DNA testing indicated that his ancestors were Krio people from Sierra Leone, Yoruba people from Nigeria and Limba people from Sierra Leone.
  6. Boseman attended college at Howard University in Washington, D.C., graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing. He also  he graduated from New York City’s Digital Film Academy.
  7. Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, which eventually progressed to a stage IV before 2020.
  8. Boseman had not spoken publicly about his cancer diagnosis. During treatment (multiple surgeries and chemotherapy), he continued to work and completed filming for several films, including Marshall, Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and others.
  9. Before his death, he featured in 15 movies and 16 TV series
  10. Out out 10 nominations, he scooped 4 of the awards in film industry
