Is your boss demanding you many tasks? Are the exams stressing you too much? We offer you 6 tips to work under pressure

Nobody has better performance under pressure. Regardless of the task, the pressure significantly decreases our judgment, decision making, attention, dexterity, and performance in all areas, professional and personal.

Next, we will present you with 8 tips that the authors Hendrie Weisinger and JP Pawliw-Fry suggest dealing with stress situations and solve them with the greatest possible success:

Do not feel threatened by what happens, as this will only cause negative consequences: it will deteriorate your confidence, decrease your attention and above all, exhaust your energy.

Instead of focusing on danger and risks, interpret the situation as a challenge.

Focus on the task, not the result

First, take care to complete your task, then you will have time to receive comments and criticism.

Prepare for the worst

If you want to learn to master the crisis, the key is to anticipate the unexpected. Imagine the most uncomfortable scenarios and think how you would solve them. In this way, you will know how to answer and you will have “backup” plans.

Think of your past successes

Evokes that moment of glory that makes you proud and encourages your self-esteem. Once you feel confident your anxiety will decrease and you can work with more tranquility

Take it easy

When you are in a situation of high pressure it is natural that you want to accelerate your thinking and find a quick solution, but it is not necessarily the smartest decision: you will act impulsively and leave relevant information aside.

Instead, take your time to breathe and formulate a plan. It will definitely be easy to put this advice into practice, but make the effort.

Express what you feel

Share with a friend or friend what happens to you and ask for your opinion. In this way, you can analyze the case more calmly and maybe you receive a tip that may be useful.

Ultimately, you can always resort to traditional strategies: listening to your favorite song, pressing a rubber ball (known as “stress ball”) and breathing will slowly reduce your anxiety noticeably
