Going through a job interview can be quite complicated, especially since all situations become embarrassing and stressful.
However, certain questions were created especially for this purpose: to deceive you. Get to know these issues and learn to escape them:
1. How did you prepare for this interview?
This is a great opportunity to show what you know about the company, as well as showing what your best skills are. Knowing how to answer these questions will reveal to recruiters how you prepare for awkward situations and meetings.
2. Where would you really like to work?
This is a dangerous question and its objective is to assure the recruiter that you are not competing for any other vacancy.
Do not mention if you are registered for another vacancy, as it may hinder your performance. Remember that the main point of an interview is to convince the person that you are perfectly suited for the job. You have to look completely dedicated.
3. What bothers you about the boss and your colleagues?
The recruiter also wants to know how you relate to others and will question your preferences in order to find out. Remember that you are just a simple employee and have no right to demand behavior from anyone in the workplace. Try to demonstrate that you work well with any type of person.
4. Can you describe a situation in which you made a mistake?
Although very common in job interviews, this type of question still catches many unsuspecting candidates. The recruiter’s intention is to find out if you take responsibility for your actions, so try to be sincere and talk about your failures. However, try to put more emphasis on the way you solved them, it shows that you can deal with failures and successes.
