As Kenyans welcomed the new year 2021, most hoped it to be the year President Uhuru Kenyatta will lessen some of the tough COVID-19 protocols.

But this was not the case, as the President revised and even brought forth new COVID-19 protocols

Below are the current rules each Kenyan should observe until March 2021 when the regulations will be revised again.

  1. The 10PM to 4AM night curfew has been extended to March 12th in 2021
  2. Public events and gatherings remain suspended
  3. Teachers aged above 58 years old to teach remotely or hold classes in open spaces
  4. Kenyans in public places to all wear masks
  5. Non-essentials visits to school by parents and guardians prohibited
  6. Extra-curricula activities such as sports, music and any other contests involving more than one school prohibited
  7. Only 150 persons allowed during funerals and weddings
  8. Overnight events and vigils remain closed.
