As Kenyans welcomed the new year 2021, most hoped it to be the year President Uhuru Kenyatta will lessen some of the tough COVID-19 protocols.
But this was not the case, as the President revised and even brought forth new COVID-19 protocols
Below are the current rules each Kenyan should observe until March 2021 when the regulations will be revised again.
- The 10PM to 4AM night curfew has been extended to March 12th in 2021
- Public events and gatherings remain suspended
- Teachers aged above 58 years old to teach remotely or hold classes in open spaces
- Kenyans in public places to all wear masks
- Non-essentials visits to school by parents and guardians prohibited
- Extra-curricula activities such as sports, music and any other contests involving more than one school prohibited
- Only 150 persons allowed during funerals and weddings
- Overnight events and vigils remain closed.
