The singer looked downcast as he enjoyed some alone time, without any footwear in the public park.
At one point, he stopped to feed some squirrels – still wearing his shoes at this point – before passing them to a bodyguard and sitting on a bench to listen to some music.
Wearing a simple black hoodie and dark trousers, he appeared to want some time alone as his security kept their distance.
Fans captured his walk on camera, and while some posted pictures of him walking around – others added videos, with Justin saying at one point: “Don’t do that.”
One fan wrote on Twitter: “He gave so much attitude but then told us to put our phones away and talked to us for 5 mins::::))).”
Justin later shared a selfie from his park getaway, writing: “Eyes are the window to the soul.”
It came hours before he angered fans by announcing he’d banned any more photos with them – claiming he felt like a “zoo animal”.
He later defended his controversial decision, insisting it would be the “only way he lasts”.
His first announcement sparked a mixed reaction, and one user commented: “You’re such a p****. Your fans are the reason you are as successful as you are. The least you could do is take pictures with them.
“I’m sure it’s annoying not being able to live a ‘normal’ life, but ‘normal’ isn’t what you signed up for. Get over it and stop being a douche.”
He wrote: “You are so right btw your Instagram name is fire. Years ago it was impossible to even take a picture at anytime not everyone was accessible to a camera now everyone has a camera phone and Now it’s just a different thing.
“If you think setting boundaries is being a douche I’m the biggest douche around but I think it’s smart and will be the only way I last. I wanna enjoy life and not be a slave to the world and their demands of what they think I need to do!!
“I love the fact that I am able to make people happy but cmon if you truly were in my position you would understand how tiring it is ( boo hoo Justin get over it).
“I’m going to keep making decisions I feel are fit for my growth and no human being will make me feel bad for it.”
It comes after he announced his decision on Instagram.
“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture I’m done taking pictures,” he wrote.
“It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognise me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.”
Not holding back, the singer added that he doesn’t owe his supporters anything and said nowhere does it say fans are allowed to get photos with him.
“I realize people will be disappointed but I don’t owe anybody a picture. And people who say ‘but I bought ur album’ know that you got my album and you got what you paid for AN ALBUM! It doesn’t say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo. Justin Bieber.”
But the post didn’t go down at all well with his loyal army of fans, who soon bombarded the post with criticism.
One angry fan wrote: “This is pretty harsh and rude. You wouldn’t even be where you are today without the people who come up to you for a picture AKA YOUR FANS, the reason for you career…
“A picture/selfie with a fan takes about what? A couple of seconds. Get your head out of your a** and be appreciative to the people who continue to support you through everything you’ve been through.”
