Fuel prices have gone up by KShs 3.54 per litre for petrol, KShs 4.14 per litre for diesel, KShs 3.02 per litre for kerosene.
On Saturday, May 14, 2016, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of Kenya announced an increase in fuel prices in the country. The price increase is as a result of the rise in the price of crude oil on the international market.
“Taking account of the weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products that have been discharged in the local market, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices increase as follows: petrol increases by KShs 3.54 per litre, diesel increases by KShs 4.14 per litre while kerosene increases by KShs 3.02 per litre, says the commission.”
