Application has commenced for Oprah Winfrey Foundation African Scholarship 2016. Students from any country in Africa is invited to apply.
The Scholarship expands the opportunity and makes it possible for these women to attend the New York University Wagner Institution, which offers an exceptional program to help women expand their Public Service in their home countries.

Eligibility
To qualify for the fellowship, prospective applicants must meet the general admissions criteria:
- Be an African woman residing in an African country at the time of application
- Submit one or more recommendations
- Give a personal interview
- Have work or volunteer experience
It is very important to note that ALL applicants must commit to return to their respective home countries at the conclusion of the program with the goal of assuming a leadership position on the continent where they can meaningfully contribute to the challenges currently confronting Africa.

Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on the day of the deadline. Any mailed application material must be postmarked by the deadline date.
