Socialites Vera Sidika and Diana Marua recently collaborated on a viral video featuring their luxurious Range Rovers, sparking speculation among Kenyans. Some fans suggested the video was a subliminal dig at Amber Ray, given Vera’s long-standing feud with the socialite.
The tension between Vera Sidika and Amber Ray dates back to 2023. Amber claimed Vera could not afford rent for her Kitisuru mansion, while Vera accused Amber of hating her without reason. She also claimed Amber copied her 2022 gender reveal, including hiring a helicopter. The feud escalated when Amber alleged that Vera failed to contribute to a mutual friend’s funeral, despite receiving assistance from the same friend for her own baby shower and hospital arrangements.
Following the incident, some fans added Diana Marua to the mix, suggesting her recent comment about being the only ‘bibi ya tajiri’ was a dig at Amber. The phrase is associated with Amber’s public persona since dating businessman Kennedy Rapudo. The collaboration between Vera and Diana was interpreted by some as an attempt to gang up on Amber.
Vera Sidika has addressed the rumors, clarifying that the collaboration with Diana was purely professional and content-driven. She emphasized that their video was meant to celebrate creativity and girl power, not target anyone.
“By the way, Dee and I have known each other for years, and she has been to my previous parties. We can come together to create content because we’re both in showbiz. Nothing wrong with that. We have no time and energy to gang up on anyone – it’s all good vibes and positive energy over here,” Vera said. She urged fans not to misinterpret their intentions, adding, “What we created was supposed to be all about girl power. Women uplifting, supporting each other, coming together for fun and creativity. Let’s not twist it into something negative.”
The collaboration also coincided with Vera’s post-surgery party, where she celebrated her new implants. Diana performed her viral hit ‘Bibi ya Tajiri’ for the guests, which included Bahati, Azziad Nasenya, Franky Justtgymit, and Shes Kemunto, entertaining attendees and leaving fans online amused.
Vera’s response underscores the focus on positivity and creativity in her collaborations, emphasizing that content creation and professional camaraderie should not be mistaken for personal feuds.
