Producer The Cool is bringing celebration and culture together on his latest single “Mama Africa,” arriving as part of his new album, Made In Africa, which officially released today on Africa Day. The artist notes that the project was created to celebrate modern African identity while fully embracing contemporary global sounds. He revealed that the album explores highly relatable topics including continental unity, prayer, love, struggle, wealth, and self-identity. One of the project’s main goals was creating an ecosystem of music that could resonate across vastly different African cities.
The focus track “Mama Africa” reflects that pan-African vision by combining modern production with infectious rhythms designed for clubs and summer festivals. The project intentionally opens with a traditional clan chant layered over orchestral instrumentation to set a grounded tone. That introduction transitions directly into “Mama Africa,” symbolizing a seamless connection between ancestral heritage and modern creativity. The next track, “Money,” quickly shifts the focus to financial ambition and the lifestyle opportunities that economic access provides.
The album later becomes more emotional with “Mama Pray For Me,” where the producer openly expresses spiritual vulnerability. The project then shifts into motivational territory with “Qina Mfo,” which translates to “Stay strong, son of Dube,” before returning to the dance floor. Later songs like “Jika” and “Money 2.0” bring the high energy back with a noticeably harder Amapiano log drum sound. The project ultimately concludes with “Cape to Cairo,” a song celebrating African resilience, victory, and an absolute refusal to bow down.
