Kenyans on social media are excited after posters emerged of male politicians vying for Women Representative positions.

The men vying for Women's rep position in 2017

Photos circulating online that show posters of male politicians vying for Women Representative posts have created buzz in the country.

Some of the politicians vying for the seats are; Webster Wechuli ,who is vying for the Bungoma county Women’s rep position, and Martin Sankale Lemayan, who hopes to contest for the Kajiado county seat.

Kenyans on social media are excited after posters emerged of male politicians vying for Women Representative positions.

Wechuli hopes to be nominated by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to vie  for the post.

Webster Wechuli hopes to vie for the Bungoma Womens Representative position in 2017.

Lemayan hopes to get Jubilee Party (JP) ticket to run for the seat but many criticised him claiming he is only seeking attention.

“Niko na umama lakini tuko pamoja,” the tagline in Lemayan’s poster read.

According to the constitution, the provisions are clear in that 47 women are elected by  registered voters from each counties across Kenya.
