Engineering students have moved to court to compel the varsity to include them in the list of graduation after they failed to have sat for a newly introduced unit.

The 34 students argue that the new course, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, was only mentioned to them towards the end of November when they were on industrial attachment.

Through their lawyer Ham Lagat, they have moved to challenge the decision placed to them of December 5th by the VC, and the senate indicating that they should graduate on 2017 April.

“They have waited for a whole year to graduate without being informed that there was a unit they did not do and some were employed on the condition that they avail their degree certificates upon graduation this year,” Mr. Lagat said.

Mr. Langat says that he saw no reason to victimize the 2016 students because their predecessors of 2014 and 2015 had graduated without having done the units.
