The objective of the scholarship is to promote internationalization of Bachelor Degrees students from the University of Jaen.
The University of Jaen is a public university based in Jaen, Andalucía, Spain. It is a young university established by Law 5 / 1993 of the Andalusian Parliament of July 1, 1993.
Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing bachelor and master’s degree programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award:
Type A. Total tuition fees exemption + Grant for Bachelor studies
- 180 scholarships are awarded for type a undergraduate studies:
- Up to 100% of the tuition fees for the whole Bachelor degree at the University of Jaén (240 ECTS- 4 years). Annually, the tuition fees corresponding to one academic year (60 ECTS) will be paid. Additional ECTS should be paid by the student concerned. In general, registrations of less than 60 ECTS annually will not be admitted.
- An additional grant of €2,200 per year and candidate, for accommodation/support expenses (2,400 USD approx.).
- Free Spanish courses for non-Spanish speaking students.
Students should have a minimum GPA of 7 out of scale of 10
Type B. Partial tuition fees exemption for Master’s studies
- 72 scholarships for Bachelor studies. Each scholarship consists of:
- Up to 100% of the tuition fees for the whole Bachelor degree at the University of Jaén (240 ECTS- 4 years for Bachelor degree). Annually, the tuition fees corresponding to one academic year (60 ECTS) will be paid. Additional ECTS should be paid by the student concerned. Registrations of less than 60 ECTS annually will not be admitted.
- Free Spanish courses for non-Spanish speaking students.
Students should have a minimum GPA of 6.5 out of scale of 10
Scholarship can be taken in Spain
Number of Scholarships: There are 297 scholarships available for international students.
Eligibility: Talent scholarship applicants will be subject to the following requirements:
- Applicants for a Bachelor’s Degree scholarship are required to have completed secondary school or equivalent. Applicants for a Master’s Degree scholarship are must have acquired the degree required to gain access to the master’s programme.
- To have a minimum GPA of 7 out of a scale of 10 for type A grants or a minimum GPA of 6.5 out of 10 for type B grants.
Nationality: International students can apply for these scholarships.

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted through the online application form available at the University of Jaén website.
- Together with the application form, the following documents must be uploaded in pdf format:
- A copy of passport or identity document.
- A complete transcript of records of the studies completed, with explicit mention of the GPA.
- A copy of the academic certificate.
Application Deadline: The application deadline for bachelor studies is April 10, 2017 and for master’s studies is April 30, 2017.
