Mzee Abisai Mabunda, dad to the famous Samwel Abisai who won the largest jackpot in Kenya worth 221 Million, says that he is still selling ropes in Kakamega town to earn a living.
Mzee Mabunda claims that their son abandoned them and that they are still leading a very deplorable life and nothing really has changed for his life and kins.
“The proceeds from selling these ropes educated Samuel and his siblings. I have not seen my son for a while now but I am confident in him that he has good plans for me. He travelled to China with his friends for some business arrangements but called me two days ago to tell me he is back. We did not talk much but I hope to meet him and discuss the big plans he has for me and my family. There are things he promised the community back home and I hope he will address that too,” Mzee Mabunda told a local paper.
Abisai gave out his rejoinder through his social media account, Facebook stating that he was very much dissapointed on how the media was putting him in the wrong light.
AT first it was poor tailor winning jackpot ……when am not one.then I was in france…. when I was in neighbouring country for charity work.then 33 million Benz ….yet got PREMIO.i travel world for work…had a life before jackpot. Thanks dad for telling them what the wanted to listen to..as family will invest when we got right thing to invest in….not BECAUSE we want to make crowds happy.we don’t buy mandazi on the road because they look yummy… we buy they them because we need them……we won’t invest because of windfall money…we will invest with purpose.we will take our time as family.even if it is a year…..
Currently Abisai Samwel is looking forward to open up an academy for the small kids from the orphanage family.
