Traffic Police Begin Checking Plastic Bags In Vehicles At Randon

The deadline for the ban on plastic bans stalled at yesterday 12.00am and as from today, anyone found with the violation by making use of the plastic ban stands a huge 4 million fine or an equivalent of 4 years behind the bars.

National Environtal Management Association -NEMA- in collaboration with the police are stopping vehicles for inspection to ensure that the rule takes place .

The public have been urged to avoid carrying plastic bags and stay in collaboration with the rule..

A move in the court to stop the implementation of the law had been blocked days before the 28th August 2017.
