Newly elected governor of Mombasa County Ali Hassan Joho was arrested early today and detained at Nyali Police station
His arrest came following a land tussle with a county resident over land grabbing.
The no nonsense governor stormed the Nyali Police station demanding the release of seven county officials who had been arrested during the demolition of illegal buildings.
He was later released.
I have established that the Police Commander here and his officers here are simply trying to aid someone to grab public land,” said Joho to KTN.
