Zambia has banned well famed South African socialite cum entertainer Zodwa Wabantu from entering into nay of their cities in order to safeguard their ‘public morals’.
Zambian papers had reported that the state feared that the socialite would corrupt the minds of the citizen due the reason that Wabantu was known for her pantyless, provocative dancing and outrageous gyrations in skimpy dresses.
Godfridah Sumaili, Zambia’s National Guidance and Religious Affairs Minister confirmed the with a statement saying that she would not be allowed in any part of their country
“It is clear we are a Christian nation and we uphold the values of morality and ethics… as a nation, we cannot allow such. I mean, someone performing without underwear, there’s no morality there,” said Sumaili.
In 2017, the salacious dancer was also banned in a Zimbabwean national event hosted in Zimbabwe due to her unique moral values .
