Miguna Miguna’s nomination as to the post of Nairobi County Government seems no joke for Nairobi county boss Mike Sonko.
Sonko confirmed the news that he wishes to work with his strongest and harsh rivals in politics after the resignation of Polycarp Igathe.
Speaking to local journalists, Sonko spilled more beans to an extend of even wanting President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive him and help Sonko secure the self made NRM leader as the next second in command in Nairobi.
“I am appealing to President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive Miguna,” said Sonko.
“I also forgave him after he called me all sorts of names during the campaigns. All we have been seeing (in relation to Miguna’s deportations) are just side shows that can be worked out. I nominated him because it is my humble constitutional duty and I believe he is the man to drain these cartels that are bothering me,” Sonko added.
On his impeachment, Sonko thinks he has done so good not to be removed from power.
“I don’t fear any impeachment motion against me and in any case I have done nothing wrong.”
“I have never stolen any property and no one is investigating me for any crime. I am also eager to see on what basis that motion would be prepared.”
