Harambee Stars traveled to India today for a friendly game without their main head coach Sebastien Migne. This has pilled more pressure on Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa as Migne faces frustration of managing a severely weakened team.

The team will be in Mumbai to play for the Hero International Cup against the hosts, New Zealand and Chinese Taipei.

After 8 players from Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards downed their tools the team was largely left with reserve team.

The clubs are not compelled to release players if the international duty fall outside the international calendar.

A source close to Migne revealed that Migne was afraid of ruining his reputation by fielding low class players.

“He was not happy when Wanyama and Olunga snubbed him. Now AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia players are also not travelling. He doesn’t want to work with a weakened squad. He says he has a reputation to protect and cannot be fielding weakened sides and risk losing matches.”
