The Professor welcomed the doctors in Spanish, something that drew praise and critic in equal measure.
Some thought it was a good way of welcoming the guest.

While others wondered how the doctors will be able to communicate with the locals who cannot speak English well, let alone Spanish.

Cuba being on the shores of Latin America has a great influence with the Spanish language, and a majority of the nationals in Cuba speak Spanish.
Anyang’ Nyong’o and his family were exiled in Mexico, Latin America during a political turmoil in Kenya. It is here that he gave birth to Lupita who gained automatic citizenship of Mexico.
On many occasions, Western Media would label Lupita as a Mexican rather than Kenyan citizen. Lupita too is a master of Spanish language besides English.
