One police officer was killed on spot after he was shot by fellow police officers in Nairobi’s Embakassi area.
The slain police identified as Philip Mgandi Kalinga in plain clothes was cornered by fellow police in uniform after he had shot and injured a civilian’s hand.
An accomplice who was in company of the plain clothe police also died while receiving treatment at Embakasi Medical Centre.
The motive of the shootout was not immediately established.
Their bodies were taken to Kenyatta University morgue as they wait for postmortem
