Are you going to finish a university degree and do not know what to do with your future?

Quiet, the end of career crisis is real as life itself, and it appears more often than we think. In fact, feelings of uncertainty often knock on the door at any moment of change.

For example, leave a stable job for a new project or move to live in another country or city. Be that as it may, the important thing is to know how to overcome these negative feelings and find the right instruments to start building the next stage.

In other words, we have dedicated several years of our life to get the degree, yes. But, luckily, there is a long (and very long) journey beyond the university degree.

Today, many students consider taking a master’s degree to complement their training. In fact, some of these qualifications are enabling, so they are essential to be able to practice.

However, other people decide to start a second degree or focus on work and momentarily park academic training.

In any case, it is convenient to take into account all the possibilities and remember that there is no irreversible decision in the field of training.

We are always in time to learn more! So, do not get discouraged and record this phrase with fire before making any decision: there is no end of career crisis that can be with you

1.Brainstorm. When we finish a stage, it is normal that we have feelings of disorientation. In these circumstances, it is best to sit down, take a paper and start listing possibilities. Would we like to study a master’s degree? A second degree? Do we prefer online or face-to-face mode?

Is it time to enter the labor market? How are we going to face our professional life? Aim without fear all the options that you can think of.

2.Listen more, Although it may seem very obvious, the essential question is always the same. What are you excited to do? When making a decision, different factors come into play. For example, personal skills, employability indexes, previous experience, etc. Ask yourself what weighs more in your list of priorities and begins to move forward.

3.Ask for advice from an educational counsellor. In case you decide to continue studying, the questions will still be there. And it is that the offer of masters and degrees available is every day more varied.

4.If you have doubts, you can resort to the advice of an educational counsellor, either at the university or in other specialized entities.

5.Widen the borders. If the options to study or work in Kenya do not convince you, think that this moment of life offers you the possibility of training in another country. Put your batteries with languages!

6.Remember the option of the sabbatical year. When you have enough financial means, taking a sabbatical is also an option to consider. It will serve you to reflect, to know other cultures and to begin to calibrate what it is that you really want. Test it!
