Mohammed Salah’s skillful strike against Everton FC during 2017/2018 campaign has earned him the best goal of the season during FIFA 2017/18 awards.

Salah’s strike was awarded ahead of close competition from Christiano Ronaldo’s over-kick volley against Juventus  and Gareth Bale’s similar kick against Liverpool last season.

His award has sparked mixed reactions with several fans claiming that Mo Salah did not deserve the goal.

In particular, Victor Wanyama’s goal with Totenham Hospurs against Liverpool FC has been compared to Salah’s goal, with a group of football fans claiming that Wanyama’s goal would have done better for the award.
