The number of Kenyans who are marrying white women and men is no doubt on the rise. And more so to our sports stars who are largely exposed to the outside world.
Unlike before where men called shots in marrying white women, Kenyan ladies have also thrown in the traditional towel and are getting married to white men.
YVK looks at some of Kenyan athlete stars who are married to white lovers from abroad.
1.Wesley Korir.
The 35 year old Korir is married to his Canadian wife Tarah McKay.
The two lover birds who have been together since 2010 are all athletes in making.
2.Janet Wanja
Janet Mungai Wanja who plays for Malaika Stars has been dating two white men.
In 2016, she parted ways with her first lover Andrew Swearman who was a Briton before she moved on with an Italian boyfriend Giulio Calauti.
Their relationship with Giulio Calauti is said to be at an advanced stage.
3.Ayub Timbe
Harambe Stars forward Ayub Timbe Masika who plays for Chinese Super League side Beijing Renhe has also been seeing off a white girl.
During one of his birthdays, the 26 year old shared a photo of him with his lover.
4. Raymond Andrew Ochieng’
Heavyweight boxer based in USA, came all the way from Kano Kobura-Nyanza to shine in the Western world. He did also bag a white woman.
The 41 year old boxer married his white lover back in 2012, and together they are blessed with three sons.
5.Judy Waguthii
Little is known about Judy who is the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Super Lightweight champion. a title she earned and worked hard after beating up Prisca Vicot from France in Glattbrug, Switzerland.
She got along with her manager Greg Schira a Frenchman in 2012 before she married him in 2014. They are already blessed with a daughter.
“I found a man who believed in me and wanted to uplift me. As a manager he takes care of all paperwork and when I get tired from the gym he steps in to help in the kitchen; just to ensure that I eat well,” she said.
“To date a boxer is the same as dating any powerful woman. It can be intimidating and challenging, but we can’t run away from the fact that time has reached when women have been empowered and men need to meet the challenge of being able to cope with those situations,” Gred said.
6.McDonald Mariga
Former Harambee Stars player who has been playing in Europe for a better part of his career was blessed with an Italian woman whom they have also been blessed with cute kids.
7.Victor Wanyama
Victor Wanyama who plays for Harambee Stars and EPL’s Totenham Hotspurs has been so mean with his love affair but word had it that he had been dating a white woman whom they are planning to settle down.
8.Evans Ashira Oure- Denmark based boxer
Kenyan heavy weight boxer based in Denmark also is married to a white woman. However data and photos of his white woman remain known to him and close confidants
9.Paul ‘Modo’ Kiongera- Footballer
Kenyan international footballer Paul Modo is also among the list of men dating white women, however clear data is still under his control
10.Lucy Wangechi.- Hockey player
Hockey player Lucy Wangechi is also married to a white man.
