People who tell the truth do not have to remember anything, but those who do tell lies have all the reasons to remember everything they said.

For Kenyan workers, being late is not a serious crime to get dismissed, it becomes heinous however when you consistently lie about the cause of lateness.

Often notorious late-comers have some kind of similar lies that are basically white and easy to figure out.

Below is a list of lies Kenyan workers are likely to give if they are caught late

  1. I was on traffic jam
  2. I am not feeling well
  3. My sink got running water and had to stop it
  4. My car broke down or engine stopped
  5. I was stopped by traffic police
  6. I got a sick family member in my house
  7. Yesterday I had work overload
  8. Weekend hangovers got over me
  9. I was late for just few minutes
  10. I lost my personal details wallet
