You prepare the  exams with time, you try new study methodologies , you increase the amount of hours dedicated to learning  and even then you do not manage to have better grades .

Is it your case? As strange as it may be, the problem is not found in the way you study or in the  techniques you use to memorize , but in the space in which you do it.

Various  investigations have shown that the physical location in which it is studied can have a direct impact on academic performance .

Therefore, one of the best  advice for students is precisely to choose a specific place to study and do so by opting for one that enhances this process of  concentration and commitment to a goal.

We tell you the 6 characteristics of the ideal study place :

1) Surround yourself with something of nature

It is outdoors, have direct view of a natural space , a window through which to let in the sunlight or at least one floor.

A study conducted by British researchers showed that environments close to nature can improve  creativity and productivity when studying .

2) It is not too warm

A study led by Harvard University showed that warm climates are associated with low grades and therefore academic performance.

At the moment of learning the best are spaces with ventilation, air conditioning or elements that allow the student to avoid heat.

3) It has natural light

The natural light is associated with creativity and productivity of the day. In contrast, artificial light is associated with night,  fatigue and therefore low productivity.

4) It is fixed

Having a fixed place of study saves the student the worry of having to think about where to study each time they decide to do so. In addition, it facilitates the fact of having all the necessary elements for the task in the same place.

5) It is silent

It is far from noisy areas that encourage distractions . In addition, it allows the student to isolate himself from the typical sounds of family life.

6) It is organized

The order prevails in this space, transmitting to the student a sensation of serenity and control over their space.

How is your study space ? These are some of the characteristics that through different studies have been shown as positive for the study, but not the only ones that can favor this instance.

The important thing, in short, is that you feel comfortable with your space and can concentrate to learn what you need.
