Yet another pride of lions is suspected to have strayed out of the Nairobi National Park early on Tuesday morning.

The Kenya Wildlife Service sent out alerts urging the public to be vigilant and asked those who spot the pride to contact them immediately.

KWS has already dispatched patrol teams to Hardy in Karen area where reports of the lions sighting originated from.

“We have sent our teams to Hardy area in Karen, Nairobi, following unconfirmed reports of a lion being sighted. Public asked to be cautious,” KWS tweeted.

This is the fourth incident of lions wandering outside the park into human habitat. In the first incident, two lions ended up dead after KWS officers shot dead a male lion that had injured a boda boda rider.

In the second incident, herders in Kitengela area killed a stray lion.

KWS has urged the public to report any sightings of wild animals through the toll free numbers 0800 597 000 and 0800 221 5566.

“We appeal 2 public 2 report any sighting of a lion in Hardy area of Karen, Nairobi. Our teams are on the way to area,” tweeted the service.
