Three comedians mainly Erick Omondi and Mammito are in big problems following their recent joke.
The duo together with their unknown fellow have been accused of misusing Kenya Scouts uniform by Kenya Scouts Association
“The use of the scout gear such as badges and uniform is highly protected and must not be used inappropriately. It is in our view that the actions in the photo portrays high misuse of the scout uniform and potentially taints our brand and reputation,” he observed.
If found guilty, Erick Omondi and his fellow two comedian risk a fine of not more than Ksh.100,000 or imprisonment according to The Kenya Scouts Act.
“Scouting is a disciplined movement for young people. Scouts are not armed and as messengers of peace, scouts are known to resolve conflict through amicable and weapon-free interventions. The photo portrays the scouts as armed organised militia to millions of citizens who know little about scouting,”the commissioner said.
