An AP officer in Migori was stabbed to death on Sunday night following a disagreement over an unpaid debt. Bernard Kasuku, who was based at Matara AP camp in Kuria East sub county, was stabbed in the neck.

Knife-696x522

County police commander David Kirui told the Star on Monday that he had been drinking with suspect Ghati Muhoni when they had the disagreement. Kirui said preliminary investigations indicated the officer had borrowed money from Muhoni but had failed to repay it.

He said police launched a search for the suspect who could not be found. The body was taken to Migori Level 4 Hospital mortuary.
