Tanzanian Premier League club is set to sign musician and bongo star Ali Kiba.
Coastal Union which was promoted last season is set to gain the services of bongo star from next month when their league kicks off.
Ali Kiba who married a Kenyan lady has been said to be in talks with the club’s chair Steven Mguto.
“To be honest we are left with very few days to complete our transfers and I guess we will know that in the next two days or so. We are finalizing the contracts of other players but we can’t say the same for him (Alikiba) because he is yet to sign anything. What if he changes his mind? But to some extent we are interested in signing him, if all goes well,” Mguto said.
Ali Kiba is yet to speak on the matter despite the fact that he has been involved directly and indirectly in their friendlies.
The club , as many may have it, is interested in gaining public image using the musician’s name which adds to the speculations that Ali Kiba may not be featured in many games as it had been thought earlier.
But even so, Ali Kiba will have his music career derailed even when he is benched or he is involved at the least level.
