The    environmental noise , the organization of your desk , the  clothes you use, the light that allows you to read , the proximity or distance to natural spaces , the  food you consumed in the last hours, your level of fatigue  and even your  mood can Impact on what you study and the way you learn it .

Are you surprised? As strange as it may be, there are different external or environmental factors capable of affecting the study process , which show that  studying is much more than simply sitting down to read .

One of them is the position to study . The way to  position the body for this activity can have a direct impact on:

  1. The duration of the  study day .
  2. The feeling of comfort or discomfort of the student.
  3. The learned.

And more importantly: the chosen position can have a direct impact on the student’s health . In fact, one of the best advice to study is to adopt a position that does not involve a constant effort of muscles, vertebrae or limbs, to ensure the care and protection of the student .

The best position to study is one in which blood circulation is favored throughout the body. Therefore, there are no obstacles that cause fatigue in limbs, numbness of one of them or discomfort that  constantly deconcentrate the student.

Studying lying down is a clear example of incorrect posture. If this activity is done by supporting the elbows or forearms, in a few minutes the student will begin to  feel tired and will not be able to fully concentrate on what they study; if it is done with the arms raised to hold the  study material above the head, the numbness of these extremities will lead to renouncing this task.

Therefore, it is advisable to study sitting . This involves fully supporting the back on a horizontal and firm back, with the body slightly tense and upright but without stressed muscles.

In addition, it is recommended to position the feet perpendicular to the shoulders, avoiding that the arms are suspended, but to remain supported on the chair. In addition, the head should be kept leaning forward but in a light manner, so as not to cause stress on the neck.

Finally, to ensure that you effectively take care of your health while studying, it is recommended to  take breaks every two hours and stand up to walk for at least 3 minutes to stimulate circulation.
