Embattled Ugandan MP Bobi Wine was seen leaving Uganda last night after his effort to leave for specialized treatment were bangled on the previous day.
Bobi Wine was arrested and put on a waiting ambulance on Wednesday night as he attempted to board a flight at Entebbe Airport, Kampala city.
The MP claims to have been tortured by police and military officers who had arrested him in Gulu town on accounts of treason.
Together with his co-accused, they were freed on bail as they wait for another court hearing.
His arrest and detention for more than a week sparked violent protests in Uganda as police tried to calm down the protesters.
Across Africa led by Kenya, calls for release of Bobi Wine spread far and wide.
I can now confirm that Hon Bobi Wine #FreeBobiWine is on a KLM flight out of Entebbe Airport. I just saw him off. We will now embark on getting Hon Zaake to leave for medical treatment too. Thank you for all your prayers and support pic.twitter.com/cHdd2tkCvA
