Zipporah Njeri Nyambura gave up to cancer aged 40 years on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Bonn Hospital in Germany
He death was first made public by her employer- German public international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW)
“DW’s Africa Service is extremely sad to announce the passing of radio host and editor Zipporah Nyambura. Her sudden death leaves a huge void in the entire DW family. Zipporah died of cancer on Saturday, May 9, aged 40. Our deepest condolences to her husband, her 10-year-old son, and her family in Kenya. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace,” DW said in a statement.
The mother of one Nyambura who joined the German media firm in 2009 as an intern, fought with the disease for close to eight years before death
Nyambura worked for Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), where she worked as a sports reporter before joining DW
At DW, she worked at the Africa Link show
