Cargo Sales and Customer Service Executive Needed – Kenya Airways

Reporting to the Cargo and Passenger Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be required to promote Kenya Airways Cargo to ensure that cargo capacities and revenue is maximized; while meeting the set targets and ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention through providing high standard customer service and representation of KQ Cargo.

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

  • Achieve set revenue targets for the region through long term commitments (BSAs) and retaining and expanding the clientele portfolio.
  • Create awareness of all Kenya Airways services and products in the area to expand airlines influence in the market & generate future sales.
  • Monitor and control cargo sales budget to ensure achievement of the set targets.
  • Identify and recommend GSAs to ensure the growth and expansion of airline network and revenue generation.
  • Evaluate market trends to identify new opportunities and possible threats through market intelligence and competitor activities information.
  • Ensure timely & accurate invoicing data to protect revenues.
  • Develop, maintain & enforce cargo procedures.
  • Provide inputs for competitive pricing in the AOS that will ensure high revenue generation and achievement of targets.
  • Assess cargo sales performance to ensure optimal planning for future capacity.
  • Work with Skyteam partner airlines to achieve cargo synergies and additional revenue generation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aviation industry with 3 years in Supervisory level working within the sales environment.
  • Knowledge of pricing & inventory management
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advance practical knowledge of Microsoft Office package with bias on Excel & working with databases.
  • Analytical skills on sales performance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
