Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba was treated to a rare morning on Wednesday morning when he reported back to his office at the Anniversary Towers.
He was informed that the IEBC Chair had traveled abroad with the keys for their new locks.
On June 14th, The CEO Chiloba was reinstated to his office by the Employment and Labour Relations Court as it determined the case that was filed by Chebukati and the commission.
About three months ago, CEO Chiloba had been suspended by the Chairperson Chebukati on grounds of procurement issues.
“As you are aware under clause 3 and 5, of your employment contract you are responsible for the prudent financial management of the commission finances. As well as execution of all commission programmes. The issue under investigation are weighty and touch on your role as the accounting officer,” the statement read in part.
