Cause of deathQuick facts about late Hinga

The news of Patrick Hinga’s demise were broken into the internet by his Good Samaritan Wanja Mwaura.

“With deep sorrow, I want to inform you that Hinga has rested. He passed on this morning (Sunday, March 17). I do not have the strength to say much right now. Rest in peace, my friend,” her Facebook post read.

The news of his death spread like wildfire across social networks

It all started in 2017, when Wanja met her former classmate Hinga. As she was heading towards home around  Lower Kabaete, Nairobi she had someone call her, and a surprised Wanja saw a strange looking old friend behind her.

She took a bold step and took him for rehabilitation where he was doing well to overcome drug addiction

Cause of death

According to Wanja aka Shiko, Hinga died at the hospital after he went there to seek treatment.

However, not everyone has agreed with the Good Samaritan.

Most of the witnesses who saw the poor street-boy before he took his last breath, believe that the family neglected him.

At one point, well wishers helped him with milk to ‘treat’ his painful stomach, phoned his granny but were met with harsh replies
