Comedian Chipukeezy aka Vincent Mwasia has landed a lucrative government job courtesy of Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i.
The celebrated radio presenter will now walk straight into the Board of Directors at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (Nacada) as a board member.
The appointment was made public through the Gazette Notice No. 5593 as stated below
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Act, the Cabinet Secretary, Interior and Co-ordination of National Government appoints Vincent Mwasia Mutua and George Ogalo to be members of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 6th June, 2018,” reads the gazette notice dated the 5th June, 2018” the Gazette Notice reads in part.
His deal has been activated to last for three years.
Aka Chipu, did not hide his joy while posting good news on social media.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank God, H.E the President, the Deputy President for the appointment into the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Board (Nacada). This is very humbling and I promise to work very hard towards ensuring that the task ahead is accomplished as per expectations,” he wrote.
He was also acknowledged by his predesessor Charles Kanyi Njagua who is now the current Starehe MP.
“Congratulations Chipukeezy on your appointment as a Director at Nacada… wish u well my brother,” Jaguar wrote.
