A body of a young man fell of Kenya Airways plane while it was landing in London, UK.
Authorities said that the man died before he fell off to a garden from the KQ Flight 100 while it was landing at London’s Heathrow Airport.
“On June 30th at approximately 1541hours (UK time), a body of a yet to be identified male stowaway landed in a garden in the Borough of Lambeth, South London, suggesting that the stowaway was hidden in the undercarriage of the aircraft. The owner called the police who tracked the flight radar to KQ Flight 100,” said the statement from London’s Metropolitan Police.
A quick inspection on the plane revealed that a bag with clothes, food had been found hidden on the left landing gear of the plane.
“The incident has been treated as a sudden death and is now a police matter,” the statement added said,
The London police contacted the Kenyan high commission to help in identifying the dead man.
Kenya Airports Authority have issued their statement over the matter.
“We wish to reiterate that safety and security is a priority at our airports and this incident is being treated with the seriousness it deserves,” KAA said in a Twitter post..
In 2013, a smilar incident happened to KQ when a body of a dead man was found at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport suspected to have boarded a KQ plane from Bombay in India to Nairobi.
