Deputy President William Ruto was an online stir over the last weekend when he delivered cash 10M in a backpack for the purposes of buying 1,400 goats in Kajiado County.
DP Ruto told the sellers that the amount was equally contributed by him and his senior President Uhuru Kenyatta. Which in tern the 1,400 will be shared equally among the two.
“Mdosi yangu anaitwa Uhuru Kenyatta, na ndio Rais wa Jamhuri ya Kenya. Unajua ako na dunia kubwa ya kulisha. So mdosi ameniambia nimnunulie mbuzi mia saba. Na hiyo ni shilingi milioni tano. Na mimi kama mtu yake ya mkono pia nanunua mbuzi mia saba. Na hiyo ni shilingi milioni tano,” said the DP.
Each animal was bought at sh.7,500. The host, Kajiado Governor Joseph ole Lenku emptied exactly sh.750,000 for 100 goats.
The event, auction market, was organized in order to spread the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) health cover campaign
